Downtown Los Angeles gets another strip club on Thursday when the Platinum Gentlemen’s Lounge opens its doors. The all-nude, nonalcoholic club features luxurious skyboxes and a VIP lounge, as well as indoor-garage valet service. Platinum Gentlemen’s Lounge boasts a “luxurious” and “quality” interior, and is marketing to large parties. It also is marketing its cappuccino and espresso drinks, as well as light deli fare. The club is housed in the same structure as the former Little Tokyo Showgirls, which was road-blocked by the city Planning Commission over a liquor license two years ago. Platinum Gentlemen’s Lounge is for guests 18 and over and will be open until 4 a.m., Thursday-Saturday. Other nights the club will be open until 2 a.m. The club is located at 710 E. Commercial St. in an industrial area abutting the Hollywood Freeway and close to Union Station. |
